These are early looks at the Tia's Adventures series — real stories, rough edges and all, that I wrote and then created images with AI to TEST the ideas first.
I am releasing these as DRAFT Books because I would appreciate your honest feedback on them before I commit to full illustration and print - or other uses. Self publishing children's books can be quite expensive so I do not want to embark on that journey until I'm assured I have good stories that tamariki will love. I have created these with children under 7yo in mind,
Would greatly appreciate your feedback!
- What did your tamariki think of the stories?
- Did your tamariki enjoy the imagery?
- Do you have any suggestions for changes?
Should I keep going? Would appreciate your feedback! 👇
Tia's Adventures series
Meet Tia — short for Kahutianui. She's 4½ years old, curious and thoughtful, always noticing the small things others walk past — shells in the sand, feathers on the path, stories in everyday moments. She lives between home, Nana's house, and the beach, with her whānau close by. Her older brother Nuku is always off on an adventure, her little sister Manawa follows along behind, and Tia is often somewhere in the middle — watching, wondering, collecting treasures in her kete pikau.

The limitations is that there is no kupu for a tamariki to read - but you could still use these PDF downloads below by downloading to your Ipad/ Device - and reading them aloud to Tamariki in Te reo Māori
